The Rubaiyat

I recently purchased another (beautifully illustrated) copy of Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat. By far one of the best pieces of writing I have ever read and definitely a recommendation of mine to everyone. Here is one of my favourite stanzas in the Edward Fitzgerald translation (of course).

66
I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul return'd to me,
And answer'd "I Myself am Heav'n and Hell"

Find your wings

You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don't.
You have wings.
Learn to use them
and fly.
